Ismail started karting only in mid 2001, with the Piston Port class but has since progressed to faster machinery for the 2002 season. He karts now in the 125 class, both in the Sprints and Endurance races.

A quiet chap if you do not know him, but once the ice is broken - he is a funny guy! Come race days, his reserve nature makes him the "coolest" guy on the grid, just like Barrichello - his F1 idol.

His "OCPD" haircut confuses those that does not know him but Ismail works for Alam Arena ( the managers of the Stadium ) - so if the track is dirty / bumpy or closed for football, please complain to him!! ( it's a joke, boys! )
