SEPANG INTERNATIONAL KARTING CIRCUIT OPENING CEREMONY

City Karting was given possession of the Sepang International Kart Circuit mid year of 2011 and wasted no time in planning for a event to mark this momentous event for both City Karting and Sepang International Circuit (SIC).

On Thursday, the 23rd of June 2011 - a simple but yet memorable Opening Ceremony was held to mark this occasion and this was graced by our Minister of Sports and Youth, YB. Dato’ Sri Ahmad Shabery Cheek and also the SIC Chairman Dato’ Mokhzani Tun Dr Mahathir.

Besides our VVIP, some local celebrities were invited as guests to the event which also saw them racing the fun karts on track with our very sporting VVIPs! To add to the affirmation of the fact that karting is indeed an extreme sports for the young - a cheerleading troupe and also school children were there to witness our ribbon cutting event.

We are very thankful for the show of support by everyone present that day and look forward to running the track more successfully than it had been to date!
