Syafiq caught the attention of the webmaster from his amount of www.citykarting.com stickers pasted on his kart ( look at the picture )

He has been in karting for a long time, about 5 years now. 4 of them were in Formula Cadet where he finished 6th in last year's Championship - a respectable achievement. Syafiq is now in the Junior class and lies 4th in his points tally.

Syafiq certainly enjoys his karting and when asked who his Formula 1 idol is, he replied "Coulthard" - a surprising answer to most.

From his answer, I guess Syafiq shows that he is an opinionated individual - unlike many peers, in his age group. Perhaps this points to his maturity in racing - which can only be beneficial.
