AAM Malaysian Karting Championship

 

Latest e-mail from Paul David of KKS:

Dear competitor,

We regret to inform you that round 1 of the AAM Malaysian Karting Championship has to be cancelled due to the inability of the track operator to complete the safety requirements as specified by the circuit inspectors. A new date will be announced to replace this round. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Come to Kota Bahru and see CITY KARTING RACING TEAM in winning action!

 

The Rotax Max Challenge Malaysia for 2008 will continue onto its Rd 2 leg to Kota Bahru's Tengku Mahkota Kart Circuit.

 

This event, known as the Royal Kelantan Kart Prix will also see host to the Asia Max Challenge Rd 1 - hence will see many Asean racers representing their countries here, guaranteeing fast & furious kart racing action.

 

City Karting will field a pool of drivers - lead by last year's RMC Champ Masdenal Ali, team mate Wan Dassila, top gun Indonesia driver Rio Haryanto and his Malaysian team mate - Muhammad Ruhami. In the junior class, we will have two newcomers Amirul & Chang Mun Shien. 

 

For all karters taking part, Safe Racing and for our drivers - Sweet Victory!

    1/5/08 Fun Karting Join our next Endurance Championship, this time sponsored by the famous lubricant Fuchs-Silkolene!

    Its a 2 driver event, with an endurance drive for 65 minutes in the evening and open to all non AAM licensed karters, hence targetted solely to the amateurs!!! This is a 3 round championship where each event will count to a final points tally.

    23/4/2008 Racing in Malaysia The AAM Malaysian Karting Championship 2008 Rd 1 has been postponed for safety reasons. 

    The tyre barriers just before the pit entry, which has been a scene of bad crashes has not been erected hence the postponement of this round.

    26/1/08 Fun Karting Our 1st Night Karting 1 hour Endurance Race was a great success with 20 teams hammering around the track in a thankfully dry and cool nite. The top team finished 50laps....setting the record for the next rounds!

    Racing in Malaysia

    We are the RMC Malaysia 2007 Champion in the Max Senior Category with Masedenal Ali beating all the best drivers Malaysia had to offer! Our young rookie, drove consistently throughout the year and finished on the podium constantly to ensure Championship points.

     

    Ede, a very passionate karter started karting late last year but practice very hard for the 2007 season. With his drive and a very encouraging father’s backing & support – he will go far!

     

    All the best in the World Finals at Al Ain, UAE! Do Malaysia proud!!

    Shah Alam Stadium Kart Track

    Over the last 2 months - our track has been upgraded again, this time on the surface drainage system. 

    Drainage wells connected in  network and fed by strategically located drains now ensure our track drains faster for kart driving to resume!

    Pictures of these new system shall be available shortly.

    Fun Karting

    Our track will be closed over the next 2 weekends due to corporate events…so please take note. However, our rental kart operation at Sepang Kart Track is still open!! For private karters, practice at Sepang is a possibility.
