This is to inform that the Round 4 of PLUS Yamaha SL Cup 2010 - Malaysian Series will be held at Speedway PLUS Circuit on Sunday, 4 July 2010. We're glad that AAM agreed on our request to move 1 week earlier to avoid clash w AKOC Series in Macau. 

We're sorry that we can't make it to MORAC Langkawi this time around due to several reasons. However, we are working towards 2011 series.

1. Fire Extingusher for each tent you have.

2. Book your tent early to avoid any misunderstanding

3. Check that your carburettor comforms to the Technical Specs. Parts are now available from KRS.

The organiser has also informed that the spark plugs to be used are free.

Dear All,
I would like to clarify on the legality of the Yamaha engines to be used in the Yamaha SL Cup Malaysian Series 2010.

1. Maximum piston size of 52.60 is allowed.
2. No polishing or removing material is allowed from the engine. Basically the engine must be stock standard and cannot be tampered with. You cannot touch modify any part of the engine (cylinder head / cylinder / crank case, etc).
3. The only variable that we allow on the engine is the adjustment of the ignition timing.
4. We will have tools this year to measure the cylinder head dome, cylinder (exhaust ports, side transfer ports, etc), crank case, carburetors (to measure the spring tension, jets, etc)
5. Walbro carburetor must use the standard spring and diaphragm. No tampering with carburetors is allowed.

Hope this clarifies the situation. We have a set of Yamaha tools in Speedway PLUS Circuit by Monday for anyone who wants to measure their engine before the race to make sure their engine is legal. You can also check with Aaron - RL Karting.

Attached is the list of Yamaha engines no. that will be allowed to be used in the Yamaha SL Cup Malaysian Series 2010. Please make sure the engines that you have are eligible for use in the Series.

The Promoter (Comma Motorsports) has also informed that for anyone who wants to join the entire series in 2010 will only need to pay RM1000 upfront at the 1st round, thus enjoying a 20% discount!

As the dates for Rd 2( April 11 ) and Rd 4 ( July 14 ) clashes with the Asia Max and AKOC races - some adjustments to the date will be needed and shall be announced when available.

The Championship, is organised by Comma with collaboration with RL Karting and SL Kartsports Organisation Japan. 

Mr Sayed of Comma has this further to add for their Championship.

"We are working towards organizing YAMAHA SL International Challenge 2010 where Top 3 Overall in all Cadet, Junior and Senior category will be invited to race in brand new chassis and engines, which see estimated 136 drivers from more than 20 countries including Japan to participate. We are also working closely with sponsor to get 1-Day Test Drive with Formula BMW Pacific Team for Junior Overall Champion."

Please be informed that the dates are not confirmed and only the championship's organiser can do this. No information was found on the Yamaha SL Cup as the 2010 calendar on MAM Website was not updated.

Finally, the KKS Enduro ( scheduled Jan 10 ) has been postponed  and the clarification from the organiser is found here.
